Webb’s Family Pharmacy can now conduct blood cholesterol testing with just a single drop of blood from a fingerstick and results are available in only five minutes.
Tests available now include: Total Cholesterol, HDL, Triglycerides, calculated LDL, VLDL and Glucose! The charge for the testing varies from $12.50 to $30.00; depending on which test is needed. Results are as accurate as those obtained in a doctor’s office. After the test is complete, the pharmacist reviews the results and advises the patient if they should see their doctor. To ensure that your medication is working for you, it is best to test cholesterol levels every three to six months and more frequently if your medication or diet is changed. Cholesterol testing and cardiac risk assessment is available Monday through Friday by appointment or we can conduct a screening at your place of employment.
